She has played at many of the countrys leading blues festivals including Upton and Tenby and maintains a busy gigging schedule, primarily in South Wales. After a while off the scene concentrating on his day job as an agronomist Barnes has returned to the scene with an exciting new quartet featuring four talented twenty somethings based in his own Mid Wales neighbourhood. This piece was also notable for Chamorros only solo of the night, but his huge tone was always at the heart of the music throughout. In 2006 he founded the Sant Andreu Jazz Band, a creative outlet for young jazz musicians from the age of eight to twenty one. Williams and Leggett wrote a number of original songs during lockdown and I suspect that this may have been of these. It was my first genuinely live sighting of him for over three years and it was good to renew our acquaintance. 28/11/2022.
