Christopher Johnson, Hampton University junior electrical engineering major and PREM fellow, won first place in the undergraduate poster competition at the recent Materials Research Society meeting in Boston. Johnson’s research was focused on enhancing the design and operation of a haptic interface device. “I am grateful for this opportunity to gain experience in presenting my research at the MRS meeting,” said Johnson. “I would also like to thank MRS and NSF for funding my participation. It was great to see the cutting-edge research being conducted in the materials research community.”
